How to add a custom report link to the Reports page
Step-by-step guide to registering a custom report in VICIdial's Custom Reports Admin page so it appears as a named link on the main Reports page for authorized users.
VICIdial's main Reports page lists both standard built-in reports and any custom report links you have registered through the Custom Reports Admin page. Once you add an entry, the link appears automatically for every user whose group is listed in the access settings — no further configuration needed on the agent or supervisor side. This guide walks through the full process, from opening the page to confirming the link is live.
Before you start
You need admin access to the VICIdial web admin panel. You also need to know the URL of the report you want to link to — either a path on the same server (e.g. `/vicidial/custom_report.php`) or a full domain-plus-path pointing to an external analytics server. Have the report name ready too: it must be unique across all custom reports and all standard system report names. Finally, decide which user groups should see the link. If you are surfacing a Real-time report for your supervisors only, you will want to restrict access to the supervisor user group rather than opening it to Agent groups.
Step by step
- Log in to the VICIdial web admin panel and navigate to Admin, then Custom Reports Admin.
- Click the option to add a new custom report entry.
- Enter a unique Report Name. This name must not match any existing custom report name and must not match any standard system report name. Keep it descriptive — for example, 'Supervisor Inbound Disposition Daily' is clearer than 'Report 1'.
- Fill in the Domain field if the report lives on a different server. If the report is hosted on the same web server as the VICIdial admin panel, leave Domain blank and use only the Path Name field.
- Enter the Path Name — the path to the report script or page. The system will combine Domain and Path Name into the final URL used as the link.
- Select the User Group or groups that should have access to this report link. Users who do not belong to a selected group will not see the link on the Reports page.
- Save the entry. The link is now live on the Reports page for all authorized users.

The most frequent issue is a name collision. VICIdial will reject a Report Name that duplicates an existing custom report or a standard system report, and the error can be confusing if you do not know to look for it. The second common issue is leaving the Domain field populated when the report is local — combining a domain with a local path produces a broken URL. If the report does not open correctly after you save, check the Domain field first.
User group access is also worth double-checking. If a supervisor cannot see the link, confirm that their user group appears in the access list for that custom report entry. A Campaign-scoped Disposition report is most useful when the user groups tied to that campaign are the ones with access — not the full admin group.
If you want to pass pre-set parameters to the report when the link is clicked, see how to pass preset date constants to a custom report link. For the broader context of where Custom Reports Admin fits within VICIdial's admin toolset, read the VICIdial admin bulk tools guide.
