Real-time report

A real-time report is a live screen that refreshes every few seconds to show what every agent, campaign, and queue is doing right now.

A real-time report is the supervisor's live dashboard. Instead of summarizing yesterday, it refreshes every few seconds to show what is happening this instant: who is on a call, who is paused, how many leads are waiting in the hopper, and how the dialer is pacing. It is the screen you keep open all shift, glancing at it the way a driver watches the road.

At an agent level it shows each person's ready state, their current talk time, and whether they are stuck in wrap up. At a campaign level it shows live call counts and the running drop rate, so you can ease back the dial level the moment drops creep toward your limit rather than discovering the problem the next morning when it is too late to fix the day.

Live versus historical

The real-time report answers "what is happening now," while the agent performance report answers "how did the shift go." The closely related whiteboard report strips things down to a few big numbers for a wall display the whole floor can see. Use the real-time view to spot trouble early — a sudden idle agent, a queue backing up, a campaign drifting past its drop limit — and act before any of it shows up in the end-of-day totals.

It pairs naturally with call monitoring: spot an agent struggling on the live screen, then quietly listen in or use whisper coaching to help them through the call. Watching the running abandonment rate here is also the fastest way to keep an inbound queue inside its agreed service level, because you can add staff or reroute the moment the wait times start to climb.

One habit worth building: do not micromanage from the live screen. A single long call or a brief idle moment is normal, and reacting to every blip just makes agents tense and slow. The real-time report earns its keep on trends — three agents idle at once, the queue depth climbing, the conversion rate sliding through the afternoon — the kind of pattern that means it is time to act, not the random noise of one busy minute.
