How to reset all lists on a campaign at once

When a Campaign finishes a full dialing pass, the leads that were called get flagged as already-dialed. To work those leads again, you reset the lists — which clears those flags and makes the leads dialable once more. If your campaign has ten lists and you reset them one at a time, that is ten trips through the list editor. The Reset Campaign Lists page collapses that work into a single action.

What a list reset actually does

A List reset re-enables leads that the campaign's dialable statuses have already touched. VICIdial tracks which leads in a Lead list have been called since the last reset. When the campaign's hopper goes to refill, it skips leads whose current status is not in the campaign's active dialable status set. Resetting a list clears that history so those leads become eligible again on the next hopper fill. It does not delete leads, change their stored disposition, or alter any contact data — it only makes them dialable once more.

How to do it

1. Navigate to the Reset Campaign Lists page inside the VICIdial admin area.
2. Select the campaign you want to reset from the campaign drop-down.
3. Choose whether to reset all lists on that campaign or only the active ones. The difference is covered in detail below.
4. Submit the form. VICIdial will apply the reset to every qualifying list on that campaign at once.
5. Verify by checking the hopper fill count or opening one of the lists to confirm the reset timestamp updated.

All lists vs. active lists only

The page gives you two modes. Resetting all lists touches every list attached to the campaign, regardless of whether that list is currently active or has been deactivated. Resetting active lists only leaves inactive lists alone. If you have retired or archived lists sitting on the campaign that you do not want re-introduced into the dialing rotation, use the active-only mode. If you genuinely want everything cleared and the campaign to start fresh across all lists, use the all-lists mode.

One common scenario: you run a campaign with a mix of active prospect lists and a few older suppression or testing lists you have deactivated but not removed. Resetting all lists would make those dormant lists dialable again, which is rarely what you want mid-campaign. Choosing active-only protects you from that. When this tool matters most

High-volume outbound campaigns often attach a dozen or more lists to a single campaign. Resetting them one by one through the list editor is tedious and easy to miss — you open a list, hit reset, go back, open the next one, repeat. It is also worth noting what the tool does not do. It does not change the campaign's dialable statuses, it does not alter list order or priority, and it does not affect the Hopper size or dial ratio settings. It is a narrow, targeted operation: clear the called-lead flags on the specified lists so the hopper can refill from them again.
