Agent dispositions
BBusy (agent-marked)
The agent heard a busy signal and dispositioned the call by hand.
B is the busy code an agent selects. It shows up mostly on manual and preview dialing, where the agent is listening to the line themselves rather than being connected only after the carrier answers.
When VICIdial sets it
Only when an agent picks it. The dialer has its own busy code for the signal the carrier returns, so a busy result that never involved an agent will not be a B.
What to do
- Recycle B leads sooner than most. A busy line means somebody is home — the number is good, the timing was not.
- Seeing B on a predictive campaign is odd. It usually means agents are picking a habit code rather than the one that fits.
- Leave the sale, contact and DNC flags off this status so it stays neutral in reporting.
Related codes
Do not confuse three lookalikes: B is an agent hearing busy, AB is the carrier returning a busy signal with no agent involved, and NA is the dialer getting no answer signal at all.
