Carrier results
NANo answer (autodial)
The dialer never got an answer signal — ring-outs, dead numbers, congestion and carrier errors all land here.
NA is the big catch-all of outbound dialing. Any automatically dialed call that does not come back with an answer signal ends up here: a phone that rang out, a number that is disconnected, congestion on the route, or an error your carrier never explained.
When VICIdial sets it
Automatically, with no agent involved. Because it lumps several very different failures together, NA is the status people misread most often — a wall of NA is not proof that your leads are bad.
What to do
- Recycle NA leads across different hours before you write any of them off.
- If NA suddenly spikes, look at the carrier and the caller ID first. Blocked or flagged numbers show up here, not in a friendlier code.
- Use the hangup-cause reporting to see what is hiding inside your NA pile rather than guessing at it.
Related codes
The agent-marked version is N. Where the carrier is specific you get better codes instead: AB for busy, ADC for disconnected, ADCT for congestion.
