How to turn on the "QC Features enabled" system setting
Quality Control in VICIdial stays completely hidden until you flip one master switch. Here is where to find it and what it unlocks.
If you have gone looking for VICIdial's Quality Control tools and found nothing, you are not missing a plugin. The whole QC module is hidden behind a single system setting. Until you turn it on, the menus, the scorecard pages, and the QC settings inside each campaign simply do not appear. This is the first step in any QC setup, and skipping it is the most common reason people think VICIdial cannot review calls at all.
What QC Features enabled actually does
Quality Control is the built-in process for reviewing recorded calls and checking the information an agent collected. An admin pre-selects which campaigns and which call results count as reviewable. When an Agent on a QC-enabled campaign saves one of those results, the Lead gets pulled into the review queue. None of that machinery is reachable while the master switch is off.
The setting that controls it is named "QC Features enabled". It is a plain on/off toggle. When it is off, the Quality Control menu is missing from the admin, the QC links inside a Campaign do not render, and the scorecard pages cannot be reached. When it is on, all of those surfaces appear and the rest of the QC steps become possible.
Where to find it
- Log into the VICIdial admin as a user whose account has permission to change system settings.
- Open Admin, then System Settings. This is the global configuration page for the whole dialer.
- Find the "QC Features enabled" option and set it to enabled.
- While you are on the page, look at the two related settings next to it: "QC Claim Limit" and "QC Expire Days". You do not have to change them now, but they live in the same place and shape how the queue behaves later.
- Save the System Settings page.

F --> I[Build the rest of QC setup]With the switch on, the Quality Control menu shows up in the admin, the QC settings appear inside each Campaign, list, and Ingroup, and the scorecard pages become reachable. That is the foundation everything else sits on. You still have more to do before any call lands in the queue, but none of those steps are even visible until this one is done.
What this setting does not do
Enabling the master switch does not start reviewing calls on its own. It only makes the tools visible. After this you still create a QC status template (a saved list of which call results count as reviewable), build a scorecard of checkpoints, and apply both to a campaign, list, or ingroup. A call only enters the queue once its saved Disposition matches a template you applied. Turning on the feature is the gate; the rest of the setup is the plumbing.
Once the feature is on, the natural next move is to walk the rest of the setup in order. For the full sequence, see how to set up VICIdial Quality Control step by step, and for how all the pieces fit together read the guide to VICIdial Quality Control.
If you would rather not hunt through system settings at all, VICIfast runs a managed, hardened VICIdial box where the admin is ready to configure from the first login, live in under 40 seconds. See our plans and pricing.
