How to read the User Timeclock Detail Report

The User Timeclock Detail Report is the audit trail behind the hours. Where a totals report gives you one number per agent, this one shows every clock-in and clock-out that built that number. When you need to prove where the hours came from, this is the report you print.

What you query and what you get

You run the report by user group, and it returns time clock information for each user in that group. For every person it shows their User Name, User ID, User Group, Time Clock — the total time clocked in — and each individual time clock punch. So you get both the summary total and the line-by-line punches that add up to it, side by side, per agent.

The User ID and User Group columns make it easy to slice a big team, and the per-punch detail is what makes this a Timeclock audit tool rather than a summary. If a payroll total looks wrong, you scan the punches for that agent and find the one that does not match the Agent session on the dialer.

Detail versus total

Think of it as the companion to the hours-total report. The total report answers how many hours; this detail report answers which punches made up those hours. Use the total for payroll and the detail for disputes. A short pair of split punches around lunch is normal; a stack of tiny punches usually means someone is bouncing in and out, which is worth a conversation about their day.

Because the report is queried by user group, it is also the fastest way to audit a whole team in one pass rather than checking people one at a time. You read down the group, glance at each total, and only stop on the agents whose punches look unusual. The User Name and User ID together remove any ambiguity about who a row belongs to, which matters when two agents share a similar name. Pair that with the per-punch list and you have a record that holds up in a payroll review: every total can be traced back to the exact in and out times that produced it.

Turning punches into insight

Once you have the punches and the totals per group, you can check the hours against what people were scheduled and read Schedule adherence honestly. Set each agent's Talk time against their clocked total and you get an Agent utilization read that holds up because it is backed by real punches, not estimates. The clean detail here is what keeps an Agent performance review fair when a number is questioned.

The report exports to a spreadsheet-friendly text file through the DOWNLOAD link, so the full punch list drops into an audit workbook in one click.
