Agent dispositions
DCDisconnected number (agent-marked)
The agent heard a disconnected-number recording and dispositioned the call by hand.
DC is the agent-selected disconnected code. The agent heard the three-tone intercept or a "this number is no longer in service" recording and marked the lead accordingly.
When VICIdial sets it
Only on an agent’s pick. When the carrier reports the disconnect itself, the dialer writes its own automatic code instead and no agent ever hears the call.
What to do
- Tick the unworkable flag on this status. A disconnected number is not a "try again later" — it is a dead record.
- Keep DC out of your dial statuses and out of contact-rate maths.
- A high DC rate on a fresh list is a data-vendor problem, not a dialer problem. Take it back to whoever sold you the list.
- Suppress the number as well as closing the lead, or the same dead record arrives again with the next import.

The automatic versions are ADC for a carrier-reported disconnect and ADCT for carrier congestion, which looks similar to an agent but usually means the route, not the number.
