The VICIfast plans explained
VICIfast offers tiered managed plans by agent count — Starter, Growth, and Scale — plus a self-hosted BYOI option. All plans are month-to-month with no long contracts, and annual billing saves roughly two months.
VICIfast offers four plans. Three are fully managed: Starter fits teams of roughly ten Agents, Growth targets around twenty, and Scale supports up to a hundred. The fourth is a self-hosted BYOI (Bring Your Own Infrastructure) option for operators who already have their own server and just want VICIdial installed and managed on it. All plans are month-to-month with no lock-in.
This post walks through the structure of each plan, what drives the tiers, how annual billing works, and how to decide which fits your operation. Exact current prices are on the pricing page — this post focuses on the structure.
What drives the tiers
The primary variable between managed tiers is the underlying VPS — more agents means more concurrent channels and more CPU and RAM to run Predictive dialing and Call recording simultaneously. VICIfast provisions a dedicated Hetzner server for each customer, so your agent count determines the server size you need.
Every managed plan includes the same feature set: a Branded subdomain over HTTPS, the branded webphone, the mobile remote agent app, live call monitoring, auto TLS renewal, security hardening, scheduled snapshots, and the billing portal. The tier changes the server capacity, not the features.
How to pick a tier

A[How many concurrent agents?] --> B{10 or fewer}
A --> C{11 to 20}
A --> D{21 to 100}
A --> E{Own your server already?}
B --> F[Starter plan]
C --> G[Growth plan]
D --> H[Scale plan]
E --> I[BYOI plan]The decision is mostly about how many agents will be logged in and active at the same time. Agent count here means concurrent logged-in agents, not total employees. A team of thirty agents running three shifts might only need a ten-agent box if no more than ten are ever logged in simultaneously.
Starter
Starter is the entry point. It fits teams running up to roughly ten concurrent agents. This covers a lot of small outbound operations, pilot programs, or agencies testing a new client campaign. The server is sized to handle the calls, Call recordings, and Real-time report load for that agent count without headroom being wasted on idle capacity.
Growth
Growth doubles the agent capacity to around twenty concurrent agents. It suits an established call center that has outgrown a small box but is not yet running a floor of fifty or more. If you started on Starter and the dialer is showing CPU pressure during peak hours, Growth is the natural next step — and you can resize from the dashboard without reprovisioning.
Scale
Scale is the largest managed tier and handles up to around a hundred concurrent agents. At this level, Predictive dialing generates a high volume of simultaneous outbound SIP trunk channels, and the server needs enough CPU to handle AMD (answering machine detection) (answering machine detection), audio bridging, and recording in parallel across all of them.
BYOI: the self-hosted option
The BYOI (bring your own infrastructure) plan is different in kind, not just size. Instead of VICIfast provisioning a server for you, you point VICIfast at a server you already own — your own Hetzner box, an AWS EC2 instance, an on-premises machine, or anything else with SSH access. VICIfast installs and manages VICIdial on that server via a tarball install that takes around five minutes.
You keep paying your own compute bill. VICIfast charges a flat monthly management fee on top. Because VICIfast does not own the hypervisor, snapshot backups and one-click resize are not available on BYOI — those operations require hypervisor-level access. Monthly vs annual billing
Every plan defaults to month-to-month — you are billed once a month and can cancel at the end of any billing period. If you know your operation is stable and you want to reduce cost, annual billing saves roughly two months of fees compared to paying month-to-month for a year. The feature set is the same on either billing cadence.
