Branded subdomain

A branded subdomain is the custom web address, secured with HTTPS, where your agents and managers log into your own VICIdial server.

A branded subdomain is the web address your team uses to reach your dialer, like dialer.yourcompany.com. Instead of typing a bare IP address or a generic shared hostname, agents and managers go to a clean, memorable address that carries your name and is secured with HTTPS.

Because each VICIfast customer runs on a Single tenant VPS, the subdomain points only at your server. There is no shared login page and no risk of landing on someone else's instance. The address is set up automatically during Provisioning, complete with DNS records and a valid certificate, so the very first time you log in you are already on HTTPS.

Where it shows up

The branded subdomain is the front door for everything your team touches. Agents log in there, supervisors open reports there, and a browser-based Webphone registers against it. It also matters for trust: a recognizable, secured address looks more professional to your own staff than a raw server IP, and it makes password managers and bookmarks behave.

It is worth keeping the subdomain separate in your head from your phone numbers. The subdomain is the web entrance; a DID (direct inward dialing) is a phone number that routes calls into the system. Both come together as part of standard Managed hosting, but they do different jobs. Pick a subdomain name your team will actually remember, because they will type it every shift.
