Campaign Lead Recycling: redialing specific dispositions

Sometimes you do not want to recall an entire list, you just want to try the busy numbers again in a few minutes. That is exactly what lead recycling does. It lets a Campaign redial a specific Disposition at a chosen interval, without touching the rest of the list.

The two settings that matter

Each recycle entry has an attempt delay and an attempt maximum. The attempt delay is how many seconds a lead waits before it can go back into the dial pool, and it has to be at least 120 seconds. The attempt maximum is how many times a lead of that status can be tried before the list itself needs a full reset; it ranges from 1 to 10.

• Attempt delay: minimum 120 seconds before a lead is eligible again.
• Attempt maximum: 1 to 10 tries before a list reset is required.
• Each entry can be activated or deactivated with a link, no deletion needed.

How a recycled lead moves

When a recycled lead's target time arrives, it gets priority. The system places that Lead into the Hopper ahead of other leads, regardless of how the campaign's lead order is set. The idea is to catch a busy person before they hang up the phone for the day.

What to recycle, and what not to

Recycling is really designed for Busy, or B, status leads. A busy signal usually means the person is home and on the phone, so a quick callback often connects. It is not meant for long delays measured in days; that is what list resets and longer-horizon strategies are for. A status does not even have to be in your selected dial statuses to be recycled, which is part of why it is so flexible. You can recycle a result the campaign would not otherwise call, which gives you a second bite without changing your main dial-status selections.

The priority behavior is worth repeating because it changes how a campaign feels in practice. A recycled lead jumps to the front of the queue, so the moment its delay elapses it is among the very next numbers dialed. That is great for catching a busy line quickly, but it also means a flood of recycled leads can crowd out fresh records. If you notice agents only ever seeing callbacks and never new contacts, your recycle delay is probably too short or your attempt cap too high.
