FASHUFalse answer, auto hangup
The carrier reported the call as answered when nobody actually picked up, so the dialer hung up.
FASHU is a false-answer result. The carrier signalled that the call was answered, detection found that it was not a real conversation, and the dialer ended the call.
When VICIdial sets it
Automatically, during detection. It is a carrier-behaviour code more than a customer code — the customer may never have known the phone rang.
What to do
- Rising FASHU is a carrier-quality alarm. False answers inflate your answer rate and, depending on the deal, your bill.
- Break the count down by route or carrier before you raise it with anyone. One bad route is the usual cause.
- Recycle the leads — those numbers were never really tried.
- Compare your answer rate with and without these excluded. False answers make a bad route look like a good one, which is exactly why they are worth watching.
