What to do
- Treat fax numbers as unworkable and stop dialing them. A fax machine will answer every single time, which makes these leads look reachable forever.
- Pull the numbers out and send them back to whoever supplied the list — a business list heavy with fax lines is a list-quality problem.
- Keep AFAX out of contact rate. Nobody was contacted.
- Check your detection settings if the count looks suspiciously low. A fax that is never detected is a call an agent picks up and drops.
- Keep a suppression list of the fax numbers you find, so the next list load does not quietly reintroduce them.
