Uploading leads to your dialer (lists & CSV)

Lists are where your phone numbers live. Create a list, import a CSV, and attach it to a campaign — step by step with screenshots, no technical knowledge needed.

Lists are where your phone numbers live. A campaign can only dial numbers that are inside a list attached to it. This walkthrough takes you from a CSV on your laptop to leads sitting in your dialer — no technical knowledge needed, about five minutes.

Before you start: your CSV

The importer accepts a plain CSV file (Excel can save any sheet as CSV). One row per person. The only column you truly need is a phone number — everything else (first name, last name, city, email) is a bonus you can map during import. Up to roughly 500,000 rows or 200 MB per file.

  • One phone number per row, digits only is safest (2025550143).
  • First row can be column names — you will tell the importer what each column means.
  • If your numbers come from a purchased list, keep the source file. You can undo an import for 10 minutes, but not after.

Step 1 — Open the Lists tab

From your dashboard, click Servers, click your server, then click the Lists tab. This is the home of everything lead-related: your lists, the individual leads inside them, field schemas, and import history.

Step 2 — Create the list

Click Import leads is for files — but first you need an empty list to hold them. Click New list on the Lists tab.

  • List ID — any free number, for example 1001. The dialer uses it internally; you never have to remember it.
  • List name — something your team will recognize in three months, like "Solar Homeowners Q3".
  • Attach to campaign — pick the campaign that should dial these people. You can change this later, so do not overthink it.

Step 3 — Import your CSV

With the list created, click Import leads on the Lists tab. Drop your CSV into the upload area (or click to browse), pick your new list under Destination list, then click Next — map columns. On the mapping screen, tell the importer which CSV column is the phone number and which is the name. Two quick screens follow — options (duplicate handling, DNC scrub, time-zone lookup) and a preview of the first rows — then start the import and wait for the green confirmation.

Every import is recorded. Open the Imports sub-tab to see history, download any rows that failed (errors.csv), or undo the whole import within 10 minutes of starting it.

Step 4 — Check your leads landed

Click the Leads sub-tab. This shows the individual phone records inside your lists — search by phone number, name, or lead ID. Spot-check a few rows: right name, right city, status NEW.

Step 5 — Make sure the campaign uses the list

Open the Campaigns tab and click the pencil icon on your campaign’s row, then click Lists in the settings sheet. Your list should sit in the Attached panel on the right. A campaign dials a list only when both are active — a paused list is simply skipped, so you can stage next week’s leads without them going out early.

Good to know

  • New lists start Paused, and paused lists are never dialed. Toggle Active on the list when you are ready.
  • Duplicates inside one list are merged automatically during import.
  • The importer can scrub against your DNC list and look up each lead’s time zone (GMT) during import — use it for US campaigns.
  • Made a mistake? Imports → Undo, within 10 minutes. After that, delete the leads from the Leads tab.
  • Numbers in this demo are fictional 555-01XX numbers. On your real server, only upload numbers you have the right to call.
