Lead lifecycle
LSMERGLead merged by agent search
Left on the older record when an agent’s lead search merged two records for the same person.
When an agent searches for an existing lead from the agent screen and pulls it into the call they are on, VICIdial can end up holding two records for the same person. LSMERG is what it leaves on the older record so the merged copy is the one that keeps getting worked.
When VICIdial sets it
Automatically, and only on the agent lead-search path. No agent picks it from a disposition list, and the dialer never produces it on its own — if you see LSMERG, somebody searched.
What to do
- Keep LSMERG out of your dial statuses. Dialing the merged-away record means calling the same person twice from two different histories.
- Treat a rising LSMERG count as a data-quality signal: your source lists have duplicates that should be caught before loading, not by agents mid-call.
- When you audit a customer’s history, read the surviving record — the LSMERG one stops at the merge.
