Transfers
RAXFERRemote agent transfer
The call was transferred to a remote agent through the API.
Remote agents are destinations that take calls without ever logging into the agent screen — a phone number or extension that VICIdial can send calls to. RAXFER marks a call transferred to one of them through the API.
When VICIdial sets it
Automatically, on the remote-agent transfer path. Since there is no agent screen at the far end, no disposition comes back from the person who took the call.
What to do
- Expect a reporting gap. Remote agents give you no talk-time or disposition detail, so the lead stops here.
- Reconcile outcomes with whoever receives these calls, or you are flying blind on everything after the transfer.
- Confirm the remote destination is answering. Nothing on your side will tell you if it is not.
- Keep a list of which remote destinations are in use and who owns each one. Remote agents get configured once and then forgotten until somebody asks where the calls went.
