Transfer
Warm vs cold transfer in VICIdial.
Transfer moves a live call from one agent to another (or to an in-group, IVR, external number).
Two flavors:
Cold transfer (blind)
Agent presses transfer hot key → call goes to destination. Original agent drops immediately.
Warm transfer (consultative)
Agent presses transfer → connects to destination → original agent introduces the caller → drops when comfortable. Three-way conference briefly during the handoff.
VICIdial supports both via the agent screen's transfer panel. Most outbound flows use warm transfer (fronter → closer).
