VICIdial hosting providers compared

What every VICIdial host actually charges, side by side — published prices, setup fees, pricing models, and who is cheapest at 10, 25 and 50 agents.

VICIfastLast updated

Every managed VICIdial host runs the same open-source dialer. What differs is the pricing model, the agent cap per dollar, and whether the vendor will tell you the number at all before you get on a call.

This page collects what each provider publicly charges, in one table, with the URL and date we checked each figure. We host VICIdial too, so read this with that in mind — which is exactly why every VICIfast number below is one you can verify on our own pricing pages in about ten seconds, and why the sections that follow name the floor sizes where somebody else is cheaper than us.

All figures checked September 2026. Vendors change pricing without notice; confirm before you buy.

What do VICIdial hosting providers actually charge?

Published managed VICIdial hosting runs from $49 to $499 per month per server for floors up to about 50 agents — into four figures for the largest dedicated boxes — or $95–215 per agent per month on per-agent plans. Two of the best-known names in the market publish no pricing at all.

Sources and dates are listed in the last section. VICIfast prices are US-region; our EU and Singapore prices differ on some tiers, and on the largest VPS tier the EU price is considerably lower than the US one.

Why do the best-known VICIdial hosts publish no pricing?

Because quote-only selling lets a vendor price each deal on what the buyer looks like they can pay — and in this market it is the norm rather than the exception at the top of the authority list.

VICIdial's own team at vicidial.com and the associated vicihost.com are the highest-authority names in the category. Neither publishes a monthly hosting rate. The only figure the project publishes anywhere is its remote installation package, which "starts at $800 USD" and includes five hours of configuration support.

That is a legitimate way to sell, and there is a real argument for it: VICIdial deployments genuinely vary, and a fixed grid forces a vendor to price for the worst case. But it has consequences for you as a buyer:

  • You cannot compare without booking calls, so comparison shopping costs hours instead of minutes.
  • You have no idea whether the number you were quoted is the number the last customer got.
  • Renewal and expansion pricing are equally undiscoverable, which is where quote-only pricing usually gets expensive.

Our position, for the record: we publish the whole grid — every plan and what it includes, VPS tiers from $49/mo, dedicated-CPU tiers from $179/mo — and treat "will you tell me the price" as a question you should be allowed to answer with a browser.

Which pricing model should you pick?

Per-server pricing wins on any floor above roughly ten agents; per-agent pricing wins when you want somebody else running the operation, not just the server.

  • Per server (VICIfast, dialerportal, eTollFree, nexgenvoice, hostedvicidial, voipplus). A flat monthly fee tiered on CPU and RAM, which is what agent concurrency actually consumes. Adding agents costs nothing until you outgrow the tier. The risk is sizing: undersize the box and your agents hear it before your accountant sees it.
  • Per agent (ViciStack). Linear cost. It is easy to expense per seat, and it is the right shape when the vendor is doing work that scales with headcount — list management, dialer tuning, QA on agent calls. It is the wrong shape if all you want is a well-run server, because the server does not get more expensive when you hire.

At 10 agents the two models are within a few hundred dollars of each other. At 50 agents a per-server plan is $249–499/mo and a $95/agent plan is $4,750/mo. Neither number is dishonest — they are pricing different products. Decide which product you are buying first, then compare inside that group.

Who is cheapest for a 10-agent floor?

At 10 agents the cheapest published options are VICIfast at $69/mo and dialerportal at $70/mo — effectively a tie, decided by what each includes rather than by price.

Provider10 agents, monthlyFirst-year total incl. one-time fees
VICIfast Scale$69$828
dialerportal$70 (cap 15)$940 (incl. $100 setup)
eTollFree Starter$99$1,188
nexgenvoiceFrom $99From $1,188
hostedvicidial Starter$199$2,388
voipplus$200 (cap 25)$2,900 (incl. $500 setup)
ViciStack Essentials$950 ($95 × 10)$11,400

Two honest observations. First, dialerportal's $70 covers up to 15 agents where our $69 tier covers 10 — so anywhere between 11 and 15 agents, dialerportal is the cheaper option, because our next tier up is $139/mo. If your floor sits in that band and price is the deciding factor, that is a real answer and you should take it.

Second, voipplus and hostedvicidial are not trying to win this row. voipplus is selling bare metal, and hostedvicidial is selling a support posture. Cheapest-per-agent is the wrong lens for either.

Who is cheapest at 25 and 50 agents?

At 25 agents VICIfast Growth at $139/mo is the cheapest published price; at 50 agents VICIfast Pro at $249/mo is the cheapest published price, with hostedvicidial at $499/mo the only other provider publishing a rate that high.

eTollFree$249 (up to 30)Not published above 30

dialerportalNot published above 15Not published above 15
nexgenvoiceNot publishedNot published
ViciStack$2,375$4,750

The pattern worth noticing is not who wins — it is how quickly the published data runs out. Above 30 agents, most of this market stops publishing anything. That is the point at which "get a quote" becomes the only path for every vendor except two.

Where voipplus is genuinely strong: for $200/mo plus a $500 setup they specify a bare-metal box with at least 24 cores, 48 GB of RAM and RAID-10 SSDs. Our $179/mo dedicated-CPU tier gives you 4 dedicated cores and 16 GB. On raw hardware per dollar, voipplus is better value than we are — you are trading provisioning speed, self-service and a published upgrade path for a much bigger machine.

What are the one-time fees?

Three providers publish one-time charges: dialerportal ($100 setup, $1,500 for a lifetime custom skin), voipplus ($500 setup), and the VICIdial project itself ($800 and up for remote installation). Everyone else either bundles installation or does not mention it.

Setup fees are not automatically a red flag — a fee attached to a human doing a real build is honest pricing, and $100 for a configured, ready-to-dial box is cheap against the 12–20 hours a first-time install takes. What matters is whether the fee is refundable if the build fails, and whether you pay it again when you upgrade.

The one to look at carefully is dialerportal's $1,500 lifetime custom skin, because it is the only published price in this market for whitelabeling. Compare it against hosts that include branding in the monthly fee — on our plans, firewall-portal and webphone branding start at the $69 Scale tier and full VICIdial admin whitelabeling is on Pro and above — and work out how many months of difference $1,500 buys. Depending on the tier you need, it can go either way.

What is not included in anyone's price?

Carrier minutes and phone numbers, which for most outbound operations are larger than the hosting bill — often several times larger.

No provider in the table above includes your outbound termination in the monthly price. At published rates of roughly $0.007–$0.014 per US minute, a 20-agent floor doing four connected hours per agent per day runs $700–1,400 a month in minutes alone, before ring time. DIDs add about $1.00–1.15 per number per month, and a serious caller-ID rotation is hundreds of numbers.

Two things follow. First, comparing $69 against $199 matters much less than it looks when both sit under a $1,000 carrier bill. Second, whether a host lets you bring your own carrier — and whether it takes a cut of your minutes — is worth more than the entire hosting price difference. Ask every vendor on your shortlist directly: can I point campaigns at my own carrier, is there any per-minute markup, and can I run two carriers at once and route per campaign? The full arithmetic is in our guide to what VICIdial actually costs, and you can model your own numbers in the dialer cost calculator.

Where does each provider actually win?

Price is one column. Here is the honest read on the rest, including the cases where we are not the right answer.

  • vicidial.com / vicihost.com — the people who wrote the software. Nobody knows the codebase better, and for a complex or unusual deployment that is worth real money. You will have to ask for the price.
  • eTollFree — a long-established US operation with flat-rate tiers, no setup fee, and no per-agent charge. If a predictable single line on the invoice matters more than the last $30, that is a good product. See VICIfast vs eTollFree.
  • dialerportal — cheapest published option in the 11–15 agent band, and the only vendor publishing a whitelabel price at all.
  • voipplus — the most raw hardware per dollar in the table, with hardware timing gear specified. Best fit if you know you want a big single box and are not in a hurry to get it.
  • hostedvicidial — the highest published prices among per-server hosts, sold with a support posture to match: priority phone support at the middle tier and an SLA plus HA cluster at Enterprise. If uptime guarantees are procurement requirements, start there. See VICIfast vs hostedvicidial.
  • ViciStack — per-agent, and expensive per agent, because it bundles managed operations: audits, dialer tuning, AI QC and coaching. If you want a vendor accountable for how the floor performs rather than whether the server is up, per-agent pricing is the right shape for that deal.
  • VICIfast — per server, published pricing, provisioning in about 40 seconds, root SSH, bring-your-own carrier with no markup on minutes, and a 7-day free trial on the entry plan so you can test all of that before paying. We are not the cheapest at 11–15 agents, and we are not the most hardware per dollar. We are the fastest to a working box and the easiest to price without talking to anyone.

What should you check besides price?

Provisioning time, root access, carrier freedom, backup and restore, and how you get your data out — in that order, because those are the five that cost you money later rather than at signup.

Our vendor-neutral checklist for evaluating a managed VICIdial host walks through all ten questions worth asking, with the answers you should expect and the ones that should worry you. For shortlisted vendors, our head-to-head VICIdial host comparisons cover these providers individually — including ViciBox, GoAutoDial and ViciHost — and each page states where the other vendor is the better fit.

Two figures we deliberately did not publish: nexgenvoice's agent cap, because they do not state one alongside the $99 price, and any eTollFree number presented as directly verified, because we could not load the page ourselves. Where a vendor publishes nothing, we have said so rather than filling the gap with an estimate — a blank cell is a finding, not an omission.

If you spot a figure here that is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. A comparison table is only worth the accuracy of its worst row.
