Managed hosting

Managed hosting means VICIfast rents the server, installs and secures VICIdial, and keeps it running, so you only deal with the dialer, not the operating system.

Managed hosting is the standard way to run VICIdial on VICIfast. We rent the server, install Ubuntu and a hardened VICIdial build, set up HTTPS, and keep the box patched and monitored. You log in to a working dialer and never touch the operating system underneath it.

Self-hosting VICIdial means becoming a part-time Linux and Asterisk administrator: securing SSH, configuring the firewall, renewing certificates, and chasing down the next config break. Managed hosting takes that off your plate. After payment, the work most teams underestimate is already done for you, and a fresh server is ready in under 40 seconds.

What you still own

Managed does not mean locked down. Each customer gets a Single tenant box, so your data never shares a server with anyone else, and you reach it on your own Branded subdomain. You bring your own Carrier and your own leads, you build your own campaigns, and recordings stay on your machine. We handle the plumbing; you run the call center.

The whole setup runs through automated Provisioning against a cloud VPS. If you already own a server and want the same managed treatment on it, that is exactly what BYOI (bring your own infrastructure) is for. Most teams start with plain managed hosting because there is nothing to buy or rack first.
