List order

A campaign setting that decides the sequence in which leads are pulled for dialing — newest first, oldest first, by penetration, or in random order.

List order is the campaign setting that decides the sequence in which leads leave a list and head out to be dialed. Two campaigns working the exact same lead list can call people in completely different orders depending on how this is set.

You pick the order on the campaign screen. Common choices include newest leads first, oldest leads first, random, and ordering by penetration so the least-dialed records get priority. Whatever you choose shapes how the hopper is filled, because the hopper grabs the next batch of leads in whatever order you've defined.

Choosing an order

  • Newest first chases fresh interest while it's still warm.
  • Penetration order makes sure every record gets a fair number of attempts.
  • Random spreads attempts evenly and avoids hammering the top of the file.

List order works hand in hand with the called status rules, which decide which records are eligible to be dialed at all, and with lead recycling, which puts certain outcomes back in line. If you're juggling several files at once, remember that list mix sets the proportion from each list while list order sets the sequence within them. Together they give you fine control over exactly who your agents reach first.
