What custom VICIdial development costs in 2026
Custom VICIdial development ranges from about $1,500 for a single webhook to $30,000 for a real-time event stream and data-warehouse pipeline. Here is what each kind of job involves and what moves the price.

Custom VICIdial development costs from about $1,500 for a single webhook to around $30,000 for a real-time event stream feeding a data warehouse, based on the fixed-fee ranges VICIfast publishes. Most call centers land in between: a two-way CRM sync with outcomes written back usually runs $5,000 to $12,000. The price depends less on lines of code than on how many systems the data passes through and what has to happen when one of them is down.
What kinds of VICIdial development are there?
Most custom work falls into five groups. The first three are the most common.
| Job | What it does | Typical fixed fee |
| Webhook or screen-pop | Sends call events to your CRM, or opens the lead record when the call connects | $1,500 - $3,000 |
| Two-way CRM sync | New leads flow into VICIdial lists; disposition and call outcome flow back | $5,000 - $12,000 |
| Event stream and BI pipeline | Every call event in near real time, plus a nightly export to a data warehouse | $10,000 - $30,000 |
| Dial plan and AGI scripts | Custom call routing logic in Perl or Python through AGI | Quoted after discovery |
| Reports and exports | A report VICIdial does not ship, or a scheduled file drop | Quoted after discovery |
The ranges come from our custom integrations page. They are fixed-fee: quoted in writing after a discovery call, and if the work takes longer than estimated, that is the developer's problem.
What moves the price of VICIdial customization?
Four things, in this order:
- Direction. Push-only (VICIdial to CRM) is cheap. Two-way sync needs de-duplication, field mapping and conflict rules.
- Volume and timing. A nightly file is simpler than every event within seconds, and a busy floor creates a lot of events.
- Failure handling. What happens when the CRM is down for an hour? Good builds queue and retry; cheap ones lose data.
- Compliance. If leads must be scrubbed against DNC (do not call) lists or consent records on the way in, that logic has to be built and tested.

Most builds take one to three weeks; complex multi-system work takes four to six. A good quote includes a 30-day warranty after go-live, then either a retainer or per-incident support. Ask for both in writing.
Do you need custom development at all?
Often you don't. VICIdial already has an agent API (application programming interface), a non-agent API for adding and updating leads, and a Web form button that opens any URL with the lead's details. Many "integrations" are a web form URL and an hour of setup. Before paying for a build, read the VICIdial API and AGI guide and how to push leads from a CRM.
What to ask before you sign
- Who owns the code, and where does it run?
- What happens to data when either side is down?
- What is the warranty, and what does support cost after it?
- Will the change survive a VICIdial upgrade?
If you want the work done by the team that hosts the server, see VICIdial development and customization, or compare hosting plans first. Writing a clear brief also cuts the quote; our post on how to brief a VICIdial developer shows what to include.
Frequently asked
- A one-way webhook or screen-pop is usually $1,500 to $3,000. A two-way sync with de-duplication, field mapping and outcomes written back is usually $5,000 to $12,000.
- Yes, in most cases. Web form URLs, custom fields, the APIs and AGI scripts let you add behaviour without editing VICIdial itself, which keeps upgrades safe.
- The build is one-time. Plan for support after the warranty, either a small retainer or per-incident fees, because CRMs change their APIs.
