How much does VICIdial cost for a call center in the Philippines?
Running VICIdial from the Philippines costs a server, call minutes and somebody's time, because the software itself, an open-source predictive dialer built on Asterisk, is free. On VICIfast that server starts at $49 a month on shared cores and $249 a month on dedicated cores, billed in US dollars, and the price does not rise as agents are added until the server itself needs to grow.
Four plans, priced in the US and in Singapore:
| Plan | Suggested agents | US (Ashburn, Hillsboro) | Singapore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scale | 10 | $99 | $119 |
| Growth | 25 | $219 | $259 |
| Pro | 50 | $399 | $429 |
| Pulse, dedicated cores | 25 | $249 | $299 |
Prices are monthly, per server. The agent numbers are suggestions for a mixed floor: a predictive campaign dialing three lines per agent needs more cores than the plan name implies, which VICIdial for 50 agents works through. Minutes are billed by your own SIP trunk provider, or by VICIfast Voice if you use ours, and daily backups are an add-on.
Should a Manila team choose a Singapore or a US server?
Choose by which half of each call you would rather send across the Pacific: your agents' home connections, or the server's link to your SIP carrier. Every call has both halves, lead to carrier to server, then server to agent.
- Singapore keeps agents near the server, so the agent screen and the browser phone ride a short path from Manila, Cebu or Davao. The long haul becomes the server's link to a US carrier, which runs between datacenters rather than over home broadband.
- Hillsboro, on the US West Coast, is our US region nearest Asia and keeps the carrier leg short. Every agent's audio then crosses the ocean on their own connection.
- Ashburn, on the East Coast, suits a client that wants the server beside East Coast leads, and puts the most distance in front of your agents.
The VICIdial project's ViciBox documentation is blunt about this route. It calls latency under 100 ms good, says the delay becomes apparent to callers and agents at around 250 ms, and adds: "In situations where you have US callers with agents in the Philippines, there's nothing you can do but work with it." You can only choose where that distance sits. Before you commit, ask your carrier whether it accepts traffic from a Singapore address, check where your client's contract says recordings must be stored, and run mtr or PingPlotter, which the same docs recommend, from two agents' homes to a trial server.
What do Filipino agents need to work from home?
A laptop, a USB headset and a wired connection are enough, because the agent screen and its phone both run in the browser: the branded webphone leaves no softphone to install or support. Agents who would rather work from a phone can use VICIfast Phone, free on every server for Android 8.0 or newer; the iPhone app is still in development.
When a home IP address changes, an agent on VICIfast signs in to a portal on your own domain with their normal VICIdial login and is let back in within seconds. For a night shift whose addresses change all the time, the firewall can also open the agent screen to the whole of the Philippines on a schedule, during shift hours only.
What hours does a Philippine team work for US campaigns?
US calling hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in each lead's own time zone fall overnight in Manila, starting at 8 p.m. Manila time in US summer and 9 p.m. in US winter. The Philippines keeps one clock all year, so the shift moves twice a year with the US.
| Lead's US time zone | US summer (until 1 Nov 2026) | US winter (1 Nov 2026 to 14 Mar 2027) |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern | 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. | 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. |
| Central | 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. | 10 p.m. to 11 a.m. |
| Pacific | 11 p.m. to 12 noon | midnight to 1 p.m. |
All times are Manila time; each window ends the next day. Set each campaign's Local Call Time so VICIdial skips leads outside their window, and run a list through the time zone by area code lookup before you load it. Some states set narrower windows than the federal one.
Which rules apply when Filipino agents call US numbers?
US rules apply to every call that reaches a US number, wherever the agent sits. The FTC's guide to its Telemarketing Sales Rule says it "makes no difference whether the calls are made from outside the United States" as long as they reach consumers in the United States. The FCC's TCPA rules set the 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. window in the called party's local time and bar telephone solicitations to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. Our TCPA guide covers the VICIdial settings that enforce both.
Calls to Philippine numbers are a different matter: telecommunications there are regulated by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), so check its rules, and your client's, before you dial a domestic list. This page is not legal advice.
How do you pay for VICIfast from the Philippines?
You pay in US dollars by card, PayPal or USDT; there is no peso price, because exchange rates move. The 7-day free trial needs a card or a PayPal subscription on file and charges nothing until day 7. Check that your card is enabled for international payments in US dollars before you start.
Where VICIfast is not the right fit
If your client requires the server to sit inside the Philippines, we cannot help: Singapore is as close as we get. And if your night shift needs a person on call for every hour of it, know that standard plans include 24/7 server monitoring but not round-the-clock human support; that comes with an enterprise contract.
Where to start
Start the free trial in the region you favour, have two agents place test calls from home, and size the floor with the capacity calculator. Not sure which region suits your carrier? Ask us - a person reads every message.
