Voicemail
GVMGeneric voicemail message
A shared pre-recorded message was left on the customer’s voicemail.
GVM marks a call where your standard recorded message was dropped into the customer’s voicemail — the same audio for everybody, played so the agent can move straight to the next call.
When VICIdial sets it
When the generic voicemail message is left on the call. The agent triggers the drop; the status records that it happened.
What to do
- Keep the recording short, identify your company, and give one clear reason to call back.
- Set a rule for how often the same person gets a message. Repeated identical voicemails are what people complain about.
- Track GVM against callbacks received. It is the only way to know whether the message is worth leaving at all.
- Check the message against the rules where you dial. A recording left on a customer’s phone is evidence of the call, in your favour or against it.
