Change a campaign’s dial level from the Real-Time report
Set a RATIO campaign’s dial level from the Dial-Level Control bar on the Real-Time Main Report, without opening the campaign.
Daily work · 2 min read
Change how fast a campaign dials without leaving the Real-Time Main Report. The Dial-Level Control bar sits at the top of the report: pick a campaign, pick a level, press SET. The dialer uses the new level within a few seconds, and the report’s DIAL LEVEL shows it on its next refresh.
Set a dial level
- In VICIdial admin, open Reports, then Real-Time Main Report.
- In the Dial-Level Control bar, choose the campaign. If the report is showing a single campaign, it is already chosen.
- Choose the level. The level the campaign has now is marked (current).
- Press SET. The bar confirms the change, for example "SALES: 2 → 2.5 · saved 11:42:03".
Which levels you can pick
The same steps as the campaign’s Auto Dial Level setting: 1 to 3 in steps of 0.1, then 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4, 4.5 and 5, whole numbers up to 20, then larger steps up to your system’s Auto Dial Limit.
Who can use it
VICIdial users at user level 8 or 9 with Modify Campaigns set to 1: the same users who can save a campaign. They see only the campaigns their user group allows. Everyone else sees the report as before, without the bar.
RATIO campaigns only
- Campaigns on an ADAPT dial method are listed but greyed out. The dialer sets their level itself and keeps adjusting it, so a level picked by hand would not hold.
- MANUAL and INBOUND_MAN campaigns are greyed out too: they do not auto-dial.
- To change the dial method, open the campaign with MODIFY.
Every change is logged
Each SET is written to Admin, Admin Change Log as ADMIN MODIFY CAMPAIGN DIAL LEVEL, with the user, their IP address, and the old and new level.
Good to know
- If auto-dialing is turned off for the whole system, the bar says so and stays disabled.
- The bar shows the levels as they were when the report opened. Another admin’s change appears after you reload the page; the confirmation always shows the level the campaign had just before your change.
