Billing, refunds, and cancellation
Monthly or annual, USD only, single auto-refund window for provisioning failures.
How billing works on VICIfast: cycles and the free trial, how to cancel, what happens if a payment fails, and when refunds apply.
Billing cycles and tax
- Pick monthly or annual when you order. Annual costs 10× the monthly plan price — about 17% less than paying monthly. Honest caveat: the annual discount applies to the plan price; add-ons on annual plans are billed at 12× their monthly price.
- All amounts are in USD. Stripe Tax computes the correct sales tax or VAT from your billing address.
- To update your card or billing address, or to download invoices: click Billing in the left sidebar. The Payment method card opens the Stripe customer portal, and the Invoices tab has every invoice as a PDF.
Free trial
The Launch plan includes a 7-day free trial. We ask for a card at signup so the plan converts seamlessly on day 7 — no surprise downtime if you forget. Cancel any time during the trial and you owe nothing. The trial is once per customer.
Cancelling a server
- Open your server, click the ⋮ (More server actions) menu, and choose Cancel subscription.
- Pick At the end of the billing period (recommended) — the server keeps running until the period ends — or Cancel now to delete it within the hour. Cancelling now asks you to type the hostname to confirm and is not refundable.
- Confirm. The server’s status becomes PENDING_CANCEL straight away; at period end it moves to TERMINATING and is deleted.
Changed your mind? The same ⋮ menu shows Resume subscription at any point before the period ends, and the server carries on as normal.
If a payment fails
- Stripe retries the charge automatically, and we email you a link to update your payment method.
- Once the invoice goes past due, the server is suspended — powered off, data preserved — and you get daily reminder emails with the exact deletion date.
- Pay any time within 7 days of going past due and the server powers back on automatically.
- After 7 days past due the server is terminated and its data is destroyed. A final backup is kept for a further 7 days — contact support immediately if you need it.
Refunds
There is one automatic refund window: provisioning failures within 1 hour of payment. If our system can’t produce a working server for any reason, the charge is reversed automatically (orders paid from wallet balance get the refund as wallet credit).
Outside that window we don’t pro-rate or refund — when you sign up you’re committing to the plan period you picked. Billing errors and double-charges are the exception: open a ticket and we’ll fix them.
Good to know
- Need a different plan? ⋮ menu → Change / upgrade plan on the server page.
- Servers billed from wallet balance don’t have a card to fail — cancellation simply stops the auto-renewal at the renewal date.
