40-second VICIdial provisioning
What the platform does between "paid order" and "server ACTIVE" in under a minute.
From the moment your card is captured to the moment VICIdial is reachable: typically 28–58 seconds — our marketing claim is 40 seconds. The actual wall-clock varies with Hetzner's region load that minute.
What happens in that window
- Payment captured (card via Stripe, PayPal, USDT, or wallet balance). ~2 seconds.
- Hetzner server create from the pre-baked VICIdial golden image. ~4–8 seconds.
- Cloudflare DNS record for your subdomain. ~3 seconds (in parallel with the server boot).
- Let's Encrypt cert via DNS-01 challenge. ~10 seconds (also in parallel).
- Personalize script runs on the box: customer's brand, admin credentials, firewall rules, recording paths. ~10–15 seconds.
- Status: ACTIVE. Admin URL emailed to you.
What's in the pre-baked image
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS + Asterisk 22.5.1 + VICIdial + MariaDB + Apache + PJSIP, pre-installed and tested. The image is re-baked regularly — our admin console warns us when the active image passes 30 days old. The active version is tracked in /admin/golden-image.
If Hetzner is slow that day
The live timer on your dashboard shows the actual stages as they complete. We've measured 28-second days and 75-second days; the variance is Hetzner's region load. If a region is at capacity at order time, we surface that BEFORE charging the card — you pick a different region.
The "40 seconds" claim
Measured real wall-clock on the latest builds. Earlier copy said "in 7 minutes" or "in 5 minutes" — that's stale. The pre-bake + parallel DNS/cert work is what gets it under a minute.
