# VICIfast - full reference > VICIfast is managed VICIdial hosting. A customer orders a server, it is > provisioned and live in under 40 seconds, and they get the standard > VICIdial admin URL and agent screen on a dedicated server with root > SSH. They bring their own SIP carrier, or use VICIfast Voice - VICIfast's own > US termination and DIDs. This file is the expanded companion to /llms.txt. Every figure below is published on the site it describes. ## Key facts - **Provisioning time.** VICIfast provisions a managed VICIdial server in under 40 seconds, measured from completed order to a working VICIdial admin login. No build queue, no scheduled onboarding call. - **Pricing model.** VICIfast charges per server, not per agent. Plans start at $49, and there is no per-agent fee, no per-seat fee and no setup fee. Adding agents to a server does not change the bill; the server tier does. - **Agent capacity.** A single VPS-tier server carries roughly 5 to 100 simultaneous agents depending on tier. Dedicated-CPU tiers carry roughly 30 to 400+ agents at steady volume. - **Carrier position.** Two options, on every plan. Customers can connect a SIP carrier account they already own and be billed by that carrier directly, at that carrier's price - VICIfast adds nothing to those minutes and never appears on that invoice. Or they can use VICIfast Voice (/voice), VICIfast's own US SIP termination and DIDs, sold only to VICIfast hosting customers: US-first (50 states + DC), Canada included, outbound from $0.0085/min billed in 6-second increments, DIDs $1/month with no setup fee, inbound $0.005/min, AI answering-machine detection included at no extra cost. - **Data ownership.** Call recordings stay on the customer's own server. Customers hold root SSH on the box. The dialer is standard VICIdial, not a fork, so existing reports, dispositions and integrations keep working. - **Three ways to run it.** Managed VPS from $49; dedicated CPU from $249; or bring your own Ubuntu server and pay $29/mo flat for install, hardening and certification over SSH. - **Free trial.** A 7-day free trial runs the full Launch tier as a real dialer, not a sandbox. ## Pricing - [Pricing overview](/pricing): All three paths - VPS, dedicated, or bring your own server. - [VICIdial hosting on VPS](/pricing/vps): Five tiers, from $49/mo. - [Dedicated VICIdial servers](/pricing/dedicated): AMD EPYC dedicated cores, from $249/mo. - [Bring your own server](/pricing/byoi): We install, harden and certify VICIdial on your Ubuntu 22.04 box for $29/mo flat. - [Add-ons](/addons): AI Quality Auditor, mobile app, extra IPs, extra volumes, platform backups. - [Enterprise](/enterprise): Quoted by use case - multi-server fleets, SLA with credits in writing, SSO. - [7-day free trial](/trial): Full Launch tier, payment method on file. ## Guides Long-form, vendor-neutral walkthroughs on running and buying VICIdial. - [How to choose a VICIdial host - an evaluation checklist](/guides/managed-vicidial-hosting): A vendor-neutral checklist for evaluating managed VICIdial hosts - provisioning, root access, BYO SIP, backups, migration, pricing model and exit. - [Predictive dialer guide - what it is, when to use it, how to tune it](/guides/predictive-dialer-guide): Complete operator guide to predictive dialing - math, TCPA compliance, tuning, and when manual wins. - [SIP trunking guide for outbound dialing](/guides/sip-trunking-guide): Complete guide to SIP trunking - what it is, choosing a provider, configuring with VICIdial, troubleshooting. - [What VICIdial actually costs](/guides/what-vicidial-costs): VICIdial software is free. What it costs to run it yourself versus managed. - [VICIfast Firewall vs the ViciBox Dynamic Portal](/vs/vicibox-dynamic-portal): Both let agents whitelist their own IP with a VICIdial login. How they differ on management, blocklists, countries, carriers and branding. - [vs Five9 - the 50-seat minimum](/vs/five9): Five9 publishes $119 and $159 seat tiers with a 50-seat minimum, dialer included. Where that beats a flat per-server VICIdial box, and where it doesn't. - [vs VICIhost - the published price list](/vs/vicihost): VICIhost publishes $1,000 setup, $400 per server per month and 1.5¢ minutes. VICIfast is $49–$899 per server with your own carrier. Side by side. - [VICIdial vs Convoso: published price vs quote-only](/vs/convoso): Convoso is a capable outbound dialer sold by quote, with no free trial. Managed VICIdial publishes every price and starts at $49/mo per server. Sourced comparison. - [VICIdial vs GoAutoDial: same core, different support](/vs/goautodial): GoAutoDial ships VICIdial inside it. What actually differs is release cadence, who answers at 2am, and whether you pay per agent. Real numbers for both. - [vs Aircall - power dialer, not predictive](/vs/aircall): Aircall is a cloud phone system at $30–$50 per licence, and its dialer is a power dialer, not a predictive one. Where each wins, and when to run both. - [vs eTollFree - $99 and $249 plans](/vs/etollfree): eTollFree publishes hosted VICIdial at $99 and $249/mo with recording included. What their site states, what we could verify, and what to ask before signing. - [vs CloudTalk - parallel dialing, not predictive](/vs/cloudtalk): CloudTalk says it built a parallel dialer instead of a predictive one. Published EUR tiers, which dialers are add-ons, and where managed VICIdial fits. - [vs RockyDialer - per-server vs per-agent](/vs/rockydialer): RockyDialer advertises from $1/day/agent and caller-ID reputation tooling. What their site claims, what we could verify, and what to ask before signing. - [vs 3CX - a PBX, not a predictive dialer](/vs/3cx): 3CX licenses per system by simultaneous calls, not per seat. It does document a predictive dialer, but you build it in a Windows IDE and feed it your own SQL. - [vs Ucartz - managed vs self-managed](/vs/ucartz): Ucartz rents VICIdial dedicated servers at $110–760/mo, pre-installed but self-managed; administration is billed hourly. What that means for your ops. - [vs Genesys Cloud CX - suite vs dialer](/vs/genesys): Genesys publishes $75–$240 per-user tiers, bundles outbound campaigns in all of them, and recommends 15+ agents for predictive. Current published prices, the credits requirement, and how VICIdial compares. - [vs Vonage - preview and automatic, no predictive](/vs/vonage): Vonage's own docs name two dialing modes, preview and automatic. Contact Center is quote-only. What we could and could not verify, next to VICIdial. - [vs Twilio Flex - a platform, not a dialer](/vs/twilio-flex): Twilio Flex is a programmable contact centre you build with Node and React. What Twilio publishes on price and dialing, next to managed VICIdial. - [vs Issabel - a PBX with no predictive dialer](/vs/issabel): Issabel's PBX is free and GPL; its Contact Center is a paid module documenting manual, preview and progressive dialing. Honest comparison with VICIdial. ## Documentation Setup, configuration and troubleshooting for a running server. - [Quick start - order to first VICIdial call](/docs/quick-start): From order to first dial on a managed VICIdial server. What exports, what you rebuild, and the order to work in. - [Migrating from GOautodial](/migrations/from-goautodial): GOautodial runs on VICIdial's own tables, so the data move is standard. What you actually lose is the interface and the REST API, not the data. - [Genesys Cloud CX to managed VICIdial](/migrations/from-genesys): What Genesys Cloud actually exports, what you rebuild by hand, and the billable 30-day data-retrieval window their contract makes you ask for. - [Moving from Aircall to managed VICIdial](/migrations/from-aircall): Port your numbers before you cancel, get your contacts and recordings out while you still can, and rebuild the dialing side on managed VICIdial. - [Moving from 3CX to managed VICIdial](/migrations/from-3cx): With 3CX you usually own the trunk, so there is often no port. What transfers, what you rebuild, and why most teams keep 3CX for the PBX side. - [Migrating from Issabel or Elastix](/migrations/from-elastix-issabel): Moving off an Issabel or Elastix box is a rebuild, not a data move, and you are probably changing dialing model at the same time. What that involves. ## Integrations SIP carriers, CRMs and lead sources that connect to VICIdial. - [Twilio Elastic SIP for VICIdial](/integrations/twilio): Bring your Twilio Elastic SIP trunk to managed VICIdial. Detailed below. ## API The VICIfast API is a REST API at https://vicifast.com/api/v1 for phone numbers, back-orders, calls, billing and webhooks. Reference: [/api-docs](/api-docs). OpenAPI 3.1: [/api-docs/openapi.json](/api-docs/openapi.json). - Authenticate with an API key from API → Keys in the dashboard, sent as `Authorization: Bearer vf_live_…`. Each key has scopes and can be limited to IP addresses. - Test keys (`vf_test_…`) work against a sandbox with a pretend $100 wallet; nothing real is bought or charged, and the sandbox can simulate an inbound call, time passing, a back-order delivery or a low wallet. - The rate limit is 600 requests a minute per key; over it the answer is 429 with Retry-After. - Requests that spend or refund money take an Idempotency-Key, remembered for 24 hours, so a retry never charges twice. - Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 (X-VICIfast-Signature) and retried after 1, 5, 15, 60 and 240 minutes; the events of the last 30 days can be listed and resent. - Calls can be listed for the last 90 days, exported as CSV, and transcribed at 5¢ a minute of call. - Official SDKs, generated from the OpenAPI document: `npm install @vicifast/api` (TypeScript and Node.js) and `pip install vicifast` (Python). They send Idempotency-Keys, retry safely, walk pages and check webhook signatures. ### Numbers - `GET /api/v1/numbers`: List your numbers. - `PATCH /api/v1/numbers`: Change many numbers at once. - `GET /api/v1/numbers/available`: Search numbers for sale. - `POST /api/v1/numbers/purchase`: Buy numbers. - `POST /api/v1/numbers/release`: Give numbers back. - `GET /api/v1/numbers/{number}`: Get a number. - `PATCH /api/v1/numbers/{number}`: Update a number. - `GET /api/v1/servers`: List your servers. - `GET /api/v1/servers/{id}/cid-groups`: List a server's CID groups. - `GET /api/v1/servers/{id}/cid-groups/{group}`: Get a CID group, with its numbers. - `POST /api/v1/servers/{id}/cid-groups/{group}/numbers`: Put numbers into a CID group. - `POST /api/v1/servers/{id}/cid-groups/{group}/numbers/remove`: Take numbers out of a CID group. ### Orders - `GET /api/v1/orders`: List orders. - `GET /api/v1/orders/{id}`: Get an order, with its numbers. - `GET /api/v1/backorders`: List back-orders. - `POST /api/v1/backorders`: Place a back-order. - `GET /api/v1/backorders/{id}`: Get a back-order. - `POST /api/v1/backorders/{id}/cancel`: Cancel a back-order. ### Calls - `GET /api/v1/calls`: List calls. - `GET /api/v1/calls/{id}`: Get a call. - `GET /api/v1/calls/export`: Export calls as CSV. - `GET /api/v1/calls/{id}/transcript`: Get a call's transcript. - `POST /api/v1/calls/{id}/transcript`: Transcribe a call. - `GET /api/v1/calls/{id}/recording`: Get a recording link. ### Billing - `GET /api/v1/billing/balance`: Get the wallet balance. - `GET /api/v1/billing/transactions`: List wallet transactions. - `GET /api/v1/billing/renewals`: List upcoming renewals. ### Messaging - `POST /api/v1/messages`: Send a message. - `GET /api/v1/messages`: List messages. ### Journeys - `POST /api/v1/journeys/{id}/enroll`: Enrol a lead in a journey. ### SIP endpoints - `GET /api/v1/sip-endpoints`: List your SIP endpoints. - `POST /api/v1/sip-endpoints`: Add a SIP endpoint. - `PATCH /api/v1/sip-endpoints/{id}`: Change a SIP endpoint. - `DELETE /api/v1/sip-endpoints/{id}`: Remove a SIP endpoint. - `PUT /api/v1/sip-endpoint-settings`: Change how SIP endpoints are used. ### Webhook endpoints - `GET /api/v1/webhook-endpoints`: List webhook endpoints. - `POST /api/v1/webhook-endpoints`: Add a webhook endpoint. - `GET /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}`: Get a webhook endpoint. - `PATCH /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}`: Change a webhook endpoint. - `DELETE /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}`: Remove a webhook endpoint. - `POST /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}/rotate-secret`: Rotate the signing secret. - `POST /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}/test`: Send a test event. - `GET /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{id}/deliveries`: List deliveries to an endpoint. ### Events - `GET /api/v1/events`: List events. - `GET /api/v1/events/{id}`: Get an event, with its deliveries. - `POST /api/v1/events/{id}/resend`: Send an event again. ### Sandbox - `POST /api/v1/sandbox/inbound-calls`: Simulate an inbound call. - `POST /api/v1/sandbox/time-travel`: Move the sandbox on in time. - `POST /api/v1/sandbox/backorders/{id}/deliver`: Simulate a back-order delivery. - `POST /api/v1/sandbox/wallet`: Set the sandbox wallet. - `POST /api/v1/sandbox/reset`: Start the sandbox over. ### Webhook events - `numbers.arrived`: Numbers are yours: bought, delivered against a back-order, or assigned. - `number.released`: A number left your account. - `number.renewal_failed`: A renewal could not be paid (sent once per number per billing month; the charge is retried every hour). - `call.inbound.completed`: An inbound call to one of your numbers finished. - `call.outbound.completed`: An outbound call you made finished, answered or not.
