Soundboards — one-click audio for agents

Build a board of audio clips your agents play into a live call, then attach it to campaigns.

A soundboard gives agents a panel of one-click buttons that play pre-recorded audio into a live call — greetings, rebuttals, disclosures, hold messages. You build it visually from clips already in your Audio Store, then attach the board to one or more campaigns.

It lives under Campaigns → Soundboards on your server's management screen. (Available on plans that include the soundboard feature.)

Before you start

Upload the audio clips first under the Audios tab. The builder only lets you pick from clips already in your Audio Store, so each button maps to a real, validated file.

Build a board

  1. New soundboard → give it a name (e.g. "Rebuttals").

  2. Add buttons and drag them into rows and columns — the layout mirrors what the agent sees.

  3. For each button, pick an audio clip, set a display name, and (optionally) a font size. Use the inline play button to check the clip.

  4. Need grouped clips? Expand a button and add nested buttons beneath it.

  5. Choose a layout (top-down or columns) and what the button labels show (filename, display name, or hide the numbers).

  6. Save. A live preview on the right shows the agent's view as you work.

Put it in front of agents

From the board's Campaigns action, tick the campaigns that should show this soundboard. We create and wire up the underlying agent screen for you — you never edit raw VICIdial Scripts. Agents on those campaigns see the board in their script panel and click to play.

Notes

  • Clearing a campaign from the list removes the board from it. Deleting a board also detaches it from every campaign.

  • Buttons that point at a clip you later delete from the Audio Store are skipped on save — re-pick a valid clip.
